Just please, don't plagiarise any information that should differ from other documents. Boss stats, if accurate, obviously should be the same, so there's not much you can do to avoid having the same information there, however you found it. How you write the guide, its format, and your directions should be entirely your own work, or credited accordingly.
If you find another document absolutely essential, then link to it, preferably with the consent of the writer of that document. Do this only if you have to, otherwise, aspire to the best in the originality and reduce reliability on other sources. That is, after all, where our appeal will be.
The site doesn't need a headache like someone from GameFAQs making some drama about it. That sort of thing can close the site, and so anything that risks accusations should be avoided.
I agree, we could site our sources with a link (which would help our Google rank lol).
Common knowledge such as stats and formulas will end up being the same, but it would be nice to credit the people/sites that put in a lot of effort to go into and research the game's code.
And even if similar information is available everywhere, there is still merit to putting it up. We do have our own edge, which comes from our own style of writing, our own unique way presentation, etc. And plus it's easier on the user to have all the information they might need at one site, rather than jumping across many.
