Vale is a small town at the foot of Mt. Aleph; the centre of psynergy in the world of Weyard and Gateway to sol sanctum. Villagers of Vale have lived happily in secret for many years, hiding away their knowledge of psynergy.

Walkthrough:

Your story begins in chaos; you are woken up frantically by your mother who tells you the Mt. Aleph Boulder is going to fall! After dressing you appropriately she leads you outside whether or not you have left important possessions behind. After a short conversation you are told to take refuge while Kyle and Dora help others escape.

Finally you're given control, feel free to look around, back in the house you can read some books in the two bookshelves if you wish, going south the roads will become conveniently blocked the second you try to get to them, you can also go into the house next door and help the man escape, then enter his house, although there’s nothing of interest there.

Moving north you’ll see Garet’s house, nothing of much interest in here. Up past his house you’ll see Garet struggling with a large chest, if you go towards him you’ll automatically walk up to him, he’ll snap at you, then keep trying to move his things; talk to him and he’ll join you. Or at any point just walk on and he’ll join you.

Over the bridge and you’ll hear a cry, and then see some people holding a bolder in place with psynergy. One of the men noticed you and tells you to run. Do so then after the stairs go left to the next screen.

Follow the path and you’ll see a man lying on the floor, if you talk to him, he moans for a bit, then you can decide his fate: tell him he’ll die and he’ll give up hope, tell him he’ll live and suddenly it’s not all that bad. Moving on and down the stairs you’ll encounter your first battle. It’s a vermin, after it is dead continue on.

In the next screen head straight down until you get to the bottom to see a cut scene where you discover Felix is in danger. Dora sees you and tells you to go after Jenna. So carry on heading south, go through the house and talk to the people if you wish, or just carry on down and across the bridge.

The houses contain books if you’re interested or continue down to the plaza, you can talk to villagers or just walk round the front to meet up with Jenna and get help from the man on the Psynergy stone, then walk back to Felix; they’ll be another cut scene. After talking to people go back over the bridge and to the next screen.

Then you’ll over here a conversation that you probably shouldn’t have. Garet will come and blow your cover and you’ll enter a battle that you can’t hope to win, they’ll defeat you then hop off like bunnies.

Three years on: Another cut scene will show you repairing a roof; Jenna will go past and see Garet training his Psynergy, they’ll start talking and it’ll all end a little uncomfortably. Then back to you, after you finish doing the roof you’ll start a big on the roof conversation, Garet will undo all your hard work.

Once you regain control you can head next door you can talk to the people, and the jar next to the bed has some money in it. In Garet’s house up the stairs is his family, including his Grandfather the Mayor. Above his house you’ll see Garet’s sisters. If you wish to go straight to Kraden’s house head across the bridge, or you can go back down passed your house and investigate the village again, you can talk to people and find items:

In Jenna’s grandparents house, on the opposite side of the river to where her house used to be you can find an Antidote in the barrel next to the bed; some coins in most northerly house on the lower screen; a smoke bomb in the jar in the house down the next set of stairs; a herb in one of the barrels in the house next to the shop; one coin upstairs in the Inn, as well as a strange masked man. And you can buy items armour and weapons from the shop. If you talk to people you’ll learn the hottest gossip at the moment is that travellers have arrived and that they have been very rude by not introducing themselves to the mayor...

Once you’ve explored to your content head back to the top of the village and go across the bridge to enter the screen where you talked to the ‘dieing’ man 3 years ago, if you try to take the wrong entrance your path will be blocked by puppies.
Walk along the road till you hear a conversation between the same two that beat you before, after they let you go head up the stairs where you’ll meet Kraden talking to himself. Go talk to him then you’ll all decide to sneak into sol sanctum Kraden will get something from his house, and then you’re ready to go.

Inside Kraden’s house you will find books and some coins in the barrel next to the big bubbling thing, leave the house, there’s an elixir in the pot next to the house. Then head back to the bridge at the top of the river and cross then go up the stairs, try to go up past the tree to the left and you’ll be pushed back by and elder who will then start patrolling the area, sneak passed when he is the other side of the sanctuary and head up the stairs into sol sanctum.

After Sol sanctum: Simply walk south and watch the cut scene.
